I would like to thank Tony and the South Coast Boardriders for accepting that we are a group of young surfers wishing to be active in our local community environmentally and with introducing young surfers in a nurturing local surf community as well as fostering a unique surf culture in our area and reclaiming the old clubs name.
Some of our members have copped a bit of Flak from a couple of surfers who see us as being "traitors" while this is a disappointing attitude to have to hear we accept that some people will see thing how they want and they are welcome to their opinions.
We hope that Otago now having 3 boardriders complementing each other with different focuses and inspiring each other that more fun can be had in the water by all be they representing Otago in surfing or Weekend warriors .
Congratulations BRB on formally becoming Otagos newest boardriders!
